Giulio Cimini

Research Fellow
Giulio Cimini is Assistant Professor at IMT Lucca (NETWORKS unit), affiliated with the Institute for Complex Systems (ISC-CNR) in Rome. His main expertise includes statistical physics, theory of complex networks, numerical simulations and data analysis. He mainly works on interdisciplinary applications of physics, with particular focus on quantitative analysis and modeling of complex economical and financial systems, but he also works on social and biological networks. Born in 1984, he graduated in Physics at "Sapienza" University of Rome in 2009 and got his PhD in Physics at University of Fribourg in 2013. Before his current position, he was awarded a grant from the Swiss Natural Science foundation for a research project carried out at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, and held a post-doc research fellowship at ISC-CNR.
